I was pulling for Meng, who was locked into quite a battle with the surprisingly powerful Terry Funk. But, in the end, the Blog of Doom said that even these titans were no match for the most fearsome gladiator of all.


Congratulations to Norman Smiley, the greatest WCW Hardcore Warrior of all time!

    I think he would have been a huge star in the territory days a la Abdullah. Come in and be a monster for 3 or 4-months then move on to another place.

    Meng helped smarten me up as a young fan, because he doesn't look like anyone should be able to beat him in an actual fight, which meant he had to be letting guys pin him, which meant it had to be a worked sport.
