Enjoy your wrestling guys. I'm off. If you can't find shit to watch I highly recommend the Pipers Pit on the 10-20-86 MSG show. YMMV on the rest of the show (I enjoyed it) but that is just an unbelievable awesome segment. Piper vs Heenan, what more can you want? Well then they toss in superfan Vladamir.
One week after proposing to my girlfriend, and what are we doing together for Valentine's Day? NOTHING! She went skiing this weekend, leaving me alone to my own devices. What a great Valentine's Day present, right?
I believe that for sure. That's just our perception of the whole country in general I think. And no surprise to me that it would be way off base. I've traveled to Mexico so many times and people here always talk so much shit about dangerous it is but honestly it's really chill place to go visit. I love Mexico.
Funny, I talked to my anesthesiologist about him getting a Roku, how Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prome works a few minutes before he knocked me out just a few days ago.
Indeed. It's really weird for me, though, because I don't really have a MLB. team I cheer for a lot. My cousin's husband is a big Indians fan, so I like to see them do well. Dude deserves to have his baseball team win once every sixty years or so for putting up with her.
Yeah I'll probably go with eBay, the price seems to fluctuate though. I so wish I still had the box and book though. I won't say I wish I never opened it as that game was so fun and batshit insane to play as a kid.
Yeah it's amazing how much the price inflates when the box and manual are included. My life for a time machine. I would have bought two copies of every game I owned and left one in the cellophane.
That's how it's been with me. It keeps you relaxed and your mind off the fact they are about to do horrible things to your body. I actually was able to get the entire OR cracking up before one of my spinal surgeries.
I'm working on my cover letter to WWE for a job on the writing team. My emphasis is mostly on my proven ability to create compelling stories and content for a wide range of digital platforms and television.
Aldo/McGregor might be the fight I'm most excited this year. There's a guy who I'm a huge fan (Aldo) and there's the douche I want to see getting KO'd (Conor).
Watched the Cena Greatest Rivalries, not too bad. Has a Prototype vs Leviathan match that is ok, but overshadowed by the Bolan/Sin/Whoeverelse quadrilateral fest outside. Also has vs JBL at WM21, vs Orton at SummerSlam (guessing 05 or 06, based on Ortons hair), vs HHH on RAW before Bragging Rights and vs Rock at WM29.
It's not the worst thing I've watched on the Network; the HHH match was pretty good. Makes for nice background noise while I code/film.
Sega Master System/Gane Gear reviews from my Dreamcast emulator are coming soon. I consider it a variety blog so along with the continued Lucha Ubderground reviews expect more shorty food and old video game reviews. Just a hodgepodge of stuff. Just trying to have a good time and enjoy it.
Rock/Cena II suffered from the same structural flaw that a lot of main event matches feature these days: finishers have degraded into set-up moves now. In small doses, such as the Brock Lesnar series, it makes sense in the narrative of the match (Brock is a freak, and is almost impossible to beat). But the specialness of finishers have been wholly killed because they never win matches anymore.
As odd as it is to say this, the only finisher that I can really think of all the top of my head on the main roster right now that finishes matches whenever it hits is Bryan's Knee Plus.
I think the problem is the lead-up. These two should have HATED each other with scathing promos and angles and whatever. But instead, it was the most boring build-up to a mania main event ever and so the match was yawn-worthy as well.
And Cena was willing to sell and do the job for Punk. They had such a great thing going. It was the closest to a Rock-Austin dynamic they've had since the glory days and they pissed it away.
Insta-Feud! It honestly felt like reheated leftovers from the previous two years, as if the name value alone could sell the show. Which I mean, in retrospect, I reckon it did to some extent, but it made for a very forgettable show. I don't remember much of anything from WrestleMania XXIX, except for Undertaker/Punk (which is probably going to go down as Taker's last great match, come to think of it).
I think my favourite heel stable was the Dangerous Alliance. It was really when I was starting to get into wrestling beyond watching Superstars on Saturdays.
Both those guys are definitely talented enough to be on the main roster, but uhaa has a star potential vibe I don't get from either of them. I think uhaa and ach could be huge stars.
Security and logistics firm; we were on the cusp of breaking it big, but our financing dried up, and our AI passed away unexpectedly in the middle of an expansion. Our partner firms pulled our contracts, and our last customers just split this morning.
I don't remember them ever doing anything stable-ish. They would be in the ring for the group promo but then went their own ways for the rest of the show

Hellooooo Ladies!
ReplyDeleteSpin-off nerd.
ReplyDeleteOpening day in college baseball. Just glad baseball is back in SOME form
ReplyDeleteHappy Carnival season everyone!
ReplyDeleteI was a big fan of the Hot Dog critiques. I learned about Chicago Style dogs. I'm going to have to give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteAlready did.
ReplyDeleteSo much drama in this crazy worldddd.....I'm jus crumbling erb. I'm just crumblin erb
ReplyDeleteWhat side are you on? The one that makes the parade floats or the ones that party?
ReplyDeleteIs it one big orgy in Brazil?
ReplyDeleteGary Owens has died...
ReplyDeleteNO!
ReplyDeleteDepends on where you are in Brazil, In Rio it's both.
ReplyDeleteWhy the hell everyone thinks I live in brothel?
ReplyDeleteYou don't live in brothel?
ReplyDeleteBecause people thing that is whats up in Brazil. It's a crazy country. Frightening and exotic. Dangerous place. At least that's the perception.
ReplyDelete80¨% is media bullshit.
ReplyDelete*screw gets drilled*
ReplyDelete*oil spouting*
*hot dogs placed in bun*
Enjoy your wrestling guys. I'm off. If you can't find shit to watch I highly recommend the Pipers Pit on the 10-20-86 MSG show. ReplyDeleteThinking about getting a Roku. Is it only the newest version that is Network compatible?
ReplyDeleteIt's really old already. Time to repackage
ReplyDeleteOne week after proposing to my girlfriend, and what are we doing together for Valentine's Day? NOTHING! She went skiing this weekend, leaving me alone to my own devices. What a great Valentine's Day present, right?
ReplyDeleteConsider yourself lucky
ReplyDeleteI believe that for sure. That's just our perception of the whole country in general I think. And no surprise to me that it would be way off base. I've traveled to Mexico so many times and people here always talk so much shit about dangerous it is but honestly it's really chill place to go visit. I love Mexico.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the Mexicans
ReplyDeletePornhub has got your hookup.
ReplyDeleteShould I go out tonight and fail at getting laid by a desperate dateless chick or stay in and eat junk food and watch the NJPW PPV?
ReplyDeleteFunny, I talked to my anesthesiologist about him getting a Roku, how Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prome works a few minutes before he knocked me out just a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteYou can do both
ReplyDeleteYeah that part sucks! Technically my favorite place there was built by Mayans too but still, awesome food, great place.
ReplyDeleteChange the NJPW to Porn and split the difference.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard that rumor before but honestly it just seems like it's true.
ReplyDeleteNo. Attempting (even if failing) to get laid always comes first
ReplyDeleteHe ain't gonna do it.
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/jfreakkyyy/status/566393164450111488
NJPW starts around 2am EST I think... could work
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of Earthbound I want to sell, I'm wondering the best time and place to sell it would be though.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. It's really weird for me, though, because I don't really have a MLB. team I cheer for a lot. My cousin's husband is a big Indians fan, so I like to see them do well. Dude deserves to have his baseball team win once every sixty years or so for putting up with her.
ReplyDeleteEbay
ReplyDeleteYeah I'll probably go with eBay, the price seems to fluctuate though. I so wish I still had the box and book though. I won't say I wish I never opened it as that game was so fun and batshit insane to play as a kid.
ReplyDeleteAJ Styles is now a king in Japan, happy for him.
ReplyDelete"When we're done, you're outta here. I got wrestling to watch."
ReplyDeleteYeah it's amazing how much the price inflates when the box and manual are included. My life for a time machine. I would have bought two copies of every game I owned and left one in the cellophane.
ReplyDeleteGo out with dateless chick, there's probably only a 10% chance you'll get laid but who knows, those are better odds than the lotto.
ReplyDeleteGirl.
ReplyDeleteI always hear people tell me their doctors have basic conversations with them, as they're putting them under.
ReplyDeleteNJPW is a perfect fit for him.
ReplyDeleteWhere is my mother fucking pizza?
ReplyDeleteI'm hungry
I know,an unopened Earthbound is worth $1800, fuck! As I have it, I'm looking at $175.
ReplyDeleteDanimal's blog is the only place where you'll find Lucha Underground wrestling reviews, TV dinner reviews, and an article about hot dogs.
ReplyDeleteMaybe for us the BC is something meh, but in Japan the act is over. Tons of BC merchandise, Styles even got female fans pop.
ReplyDeleteYeah in Japan they rarely see that kind of group. In the States, we are used to seeing it constantly
ReplyDeleteThat's how it's been with me. It keeps you relaxed and your mind off the fact they are about to do horrible things to your body. I actually was able to get the entire OR cracking up before one of my spinal surgeries.
ReplyDeleteI don't know there is a lot of BC shirt in the indie crowds
ReplyDeleteThose are the type of people that want everyone to know they watch Japanese wrestling.
ReplyDeleteI also have a shitload of Simpsons figures, although they aren't in the best of shape, wonder how much they are worth.
ReplyDeleteSex
ReplyDeleteThe only good thing about being sick is the fact that I can lie around and watch Netflix and the Network all day.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of New Japan, did Jarrett make any money off of the experiment with WK?
ReplyDeleteGive them to Chumlee.
ReplyDeleteYou actually meeting this girl or going out by yourself?
ReplyDeleteI don't know.
ReplyDelete*tumbleweed rolls by*
ReplyDeleteIs it true that NJPW bought NOAH?
ReplyDeleteBought stock in them. Not a majority owner though.
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember an arcade wrestling game called Mat Mania/Exciting Hour? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjHgs-TVjEY
ReplyDeleteNice tumbleweed.
ReplyDeleteBut didn't Gado & Jedo are booking now ? I think that was Super Crazy said in an interview
ReplyDeleteTime to use their working relation in their favor, bring in the NOAH Jr's to spice the divisions.
ReplyDeleteYeah they are doing booking too, but NJPW doesn't completely own NOAH.
ReplyDeleteWhy the hell Scott hates Gedo?
ReplyDeleteI'd be going out as a single guy trying to pick up a single girl
ReplyDeleteWasn't Marufuji?
ReplyDeleteHe was actually doing a good job.
He looked like the biggest fucking dork in the late 90s
ReplyDeleteSuzuki Gun already invaded Noah and Minoru is challenging they champion
ReplyDeleteDoes he still hate him? The Gedo hate seems like eons ago.
ReplyDeleteYeah Marufuji was their main booker, I believe. NJPW buying some of NOAH is why we are seeing talent exchanges.
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/h_9ATQFgu9o
ReplyDeleteThat's when I have my best luck so go do that.
ReplyDeletePlus he beat Benoit in the Semi-Finals of the Super J Cup 95. That didn't sit well with Scott.
ReplyDeleteI saying some NOAH guys should appear in NJPW shows, Kenou & Ohara, Harada, Sabre Jr...
ReplyDeleteScott was the biggest Benoit mark in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteHm.... Points.
ReplyDeleteI heard Zack Sabre was being considered to enter the G-1 this year, that would tremendous
ReplyDeleteHe would probably lose most of his matches, but still would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteNice marmot
ReplyDeleteGedo in the 90's-fat
ReplyDeleteGedo today- in good shape.
I figure what the hell, first Valentines I've been able to go out in like 5 years
ReplyDeleteNeeds more prairie dog.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a way to download and watch shows off the Network offline. I hate having to use a streaming service to watch wrestling.
ReplyDeletePicked a random episode of Raw off youtube. 03/11/02. Hopefully this is a good episode. No idea what the match list is.
ReplyDeleteLive from the Joe in Detroit apparently. The Road to Wrestlemania in full swing. HEre comes RVD.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on my cover letter to WWE for a job on the writing team. My emphasis is mostly on my proven ability to create compelling stories and content for a wide range of digital platforms and television.
ReplyDeleteBrazilian, have you seen Black Cole Sun yet?
ReplyDeleteLa Resistance vs. The Dudleyz.
ReplyDeleteDudleyz teaming with Regal apparently against RVD and the Hardyz
ReplyDeleteGood show, nice suprise at the end.
ReplyDeleteNo Ronda,though.
Fresh!
ReplyDeleteHot crowd at least. Good choice for an opener. I didn't remember the Dudleys being in cahoots with Regal
ReplyDeleteRVD finishes with the 5-star.
ReplyDeleteYou should emphasize that you really don't like wrestling
ReplyDeleteShit that's good. I just did a spit take on my monitor as well.
ReplyDeleteAldo/McGregor might be the fight I'm most excited this year. There's a guy who I'm a huge fan (Aldo) and there's the douche I want to see getting KO'd (Conor).
ReplyDeleteWatched the Cena Greatest Rivalries, not too bad.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the worst thing I've watched on the Network; the HHH match was pretty good. Makes for nice background noise while I code/film.
Some guys on 4chan calculated the size of Seths penis. It's about 5.8 inches. That's pretty much average.
ReplyDeleteYou're not a wrestling fan, you're a WWE fan.
ReplyDelete....
ReplyDelete4Chan, making other hyperfocused boards look normal all over the web
ReplyDeleteI think Punk should have been his greatest rival. Those two could have headlined Wrestlemania in 2012 as the final blowoff to their great MITB match.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to rename one of his moved the Motion In the Ocean
ReplyDeleteSega Master System/Gane Gear reviews from my Dreamcast emulator are coming soon. I consider it a variety blog so along with the continued Lucha Ubderground reviews expect more shorty food and old video game reviews. Just a hodgepodge of stuff. Just trying to have a good time and enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a terrible idea Meekin.
ReplyDeleteI want wwe to hire uhaa and cage and book them like usos and mizs so I can see them wrestle each other twice a week for 2 months.
ReplyDeleteMeekin. I'd love to get you on board for my latest blog project
ReplyDeletewww.danimalcrossing.com
Love to bring back those good vibes from before. Let's not leave money on the table.
Is this the weirdest use of math ever?
ReplyDeleteDidn't Uhaa Nation already signed a developement contract ? I remember reading that in the Daily here
ReplyDelete"You see Kane, you call yourself the Big.. Red... Machine. Well I want you to meet the Big Red, White, and Blue Machine pal!" - Kurt Angle
ReplyDeleteHave a drink on me this evening, guys. Y'all kick ass.
ReplyDeletehttp://m.imgur.com/wxnxk6H The calculations, NSFW of course. I don't do math so good so I'm not sure if it works out though.
ReplyDeleteRight back atcha Biff!
ReplyDeleteTotal bro.
ReplyDeleteGreat heel promo by Angle
ReplyDeleteHe denied, just like the Bucks did.
ReplyDelete*fist bump*.
ReplyDeleteUm, there is. If you want I could send you a link; I don't think I should post it here.
ReplyDeleteI selectively missed the 'NSFW' part. Now I too have seen Seth Rollins's penis. That makes this night so much worse somehow, heh.
ReplyDeleteNo. This is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFoC3TR5rzI
ReplyDeleteI assumed everybody here has seen Seth's penis, it was all the rage a few days ago. But I did warn you.
ReplyDeleteToo bad, I was getting my hopes up seeing him in Nxt. Maybe he will be part of the next big indie sweep with Cole and some other
ReplyDeleteCole and O'Reilly need to be in there ASAP.
ReplyDeleteI'm in a major haze right now, so I'm not quite thinking straight.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason i can't picture the Bucks adapting well in the very corporate atmosphere of WWE
ReplyDeleteBlock of Simpsons Treehouse of Horror eps on FXX tonight. I might be the only fan who doesn't care for them.
ReplyDeleteThey're pranksters and 90% of their offense is either not PG or to much flippy.
ReplyDeleteOk, so Rock/Cena II is really not that bad, but this my finish, your finish, counter, counter, your finish by me, counter, etc is a little much.
ReplyDeleteI have read rumors that he signed too, but I don't remember anything more definite than just a mention or 2 online.
ReplyDeleteThen you're not a true fan.
ReplyDeletewhat the fuck with 50 Shades of Grey out I could use the abuse. E-mail Me: PaulMeekin86@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThat's the most awesome use of math ever.
ReplyDeleteI know, but I'm not much into horror stuff period.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it though? I want to teach a math class just so I can show that video to my students.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit! A 50 Shades of Grey review by Meekin is just what the new site needs. I'll be in touch soon!
ReplyDeleteHey Danimal. I checked out the site. Looks good, man.
ReplyDeleteYour roster keep on expanding bro
ReplyDeleteRock/Cena II suffered from the same structural flaw that a lot of main event matches feature these days: finishers have degraded into set-up moves now. In small doses, such as the Brock Lesnar series, it makes sense in the narrative of the match (Brock is a freak, and is almost impossible to beat). But the specialness of finishers have been wholly killed because they never win matches anymore.
ReplyDeleteAs odd as it is to say this, the only finisher that I can really think of all the top of my head on the main roster right now that finishes matches whenever it hits is Bryan's Knee Plus.
That's something I hate about Nakamura, he lets everyone kick out of the Boma YE.
ReplyDeleteAll his TNA promos are pure gold
ReplyDeleteBrock is not a freak, he's a video game final Boss.
ReplyDeleteI think the problem is the lead-up. These two should have HATED each other with scathing promos and angles and whatever. But instead, it was the most boring build-up to a mania main event ever and so the match was yawn-worthy as well.
ReplyDeleteGasp...he's Abobo!
ReplyDeletePaul Heyman in 1995 predicting Nitro's chances head to head with Raw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLH0b5UO2lg
ReplyDeleteThey had a real chemistry and each one was the total opposite of the other.
ReplyDeleteNO, He's in Shao Kahn and beyond level.
ReplyDeleteAnd Cena was willing to sell and do the job for Punk. They had such a great thing going. It was the closest to a Rock-Austin dynamic they've had since the glory days and they pissed it away.
ReplyDeleteIt's dead in this bitch
ReplyDeleteInsta-Feud!
ReplyDeletealso Punk was one of the few that could hang with him on the mic and not look like a fool
ReplyDeleteAnyone seen "I'm With Busey"? Funniest stuff ever.
ReplyDeleteSorry bro. I know I'm not contributing much this evening; been a bad day.
ReplyDeleteMy wife is having a girls night and I'm at home getting drunk on jäger. What's up BOD?
ReplyDeleteThey left money on the table. Though I guess it's good to leave em wanting more instead of running it into the ground like other feuds.
ReplyDeleteSame here Bud.
ReplyDeleteBusey as in Gary Busey?
ReplyDeleteSad nerds. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot! I appreciate the kind words. Just sent Meekin an email about coming on board to write some columns. Business is picking up!
ReplyDeleteInteresting bit under "Breaking News" with Paul Heyman talking about the Brian Williams lie.
ReplyDeleteNow the South Park ep with Korn...that's some great Halloween stuff.
ReplyDeleteYeah.
ReplyDeleteWatching Total Recall... "get yer ass to Mars, get yer ass to Mars, get yer ass to Mars"
ReplyDeleteI lost my company today, and literally have no idea what to do or where to go.
ReplyDeleteThe real Total Recall.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Bucks would never be able to work the style that makes them so entertaining.
ReplyDeleteCheesy as it is, I'll always know him best from Point Break. Busey, Swayze and Keanu hamming it up and chewing scenery. So great.
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite heel stable was the Dangerous Alliance. It was really when I was starting to get into wrestling beyond watching Superstars on Saturdays.
ReplyDeleteWhy is this place such a ghosttown? I refuse to believe that many BoDers have a life!
ReplyDeleteYou still hiring?
ReplyDeleteEver seen the tv version on cable back in the day? "You bettah get.... to Mars. You bettah get... to Mars...."
ReplyDeleteYou should check out Im with Busey. It's insanity.
ReplyDeleteBoth those guys are definitely talented enough to be on the main roster, but uhaa has a star potential vibe I don't get from either of them. I think uhaa and ach could be huge stars.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear man. We're here for you. What type of company was it?
ReplyDeleteCorporation.
ReplyDeleteI'll check it out. Busey is middle aged and crazy.
ReplyDeleteNo, it was the Horsemen.
ReplyDeleteLink since I'm too lazy to scroll all the way down.
ReplyDeleteMaybe everyone is like me and has to work at 4:30 tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhere's edge?
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that thought Evolution was lame? I didn't care for that group in the slightest
ReplyDeleteSecurity and logistics firm; we were on the cusp of breaking it big, but our financing dried up, and our AI passed away unexpectedly in the middle of an expansion. Our partner firms pulled our contracts, and our last customers just split this morning.
ReplyDelete4:30 is a weird afternoon shift.
ReplyDeleteIt's a toss up between Dangerous Alliance and the Flair/Tully/Arn/Windham Horsemen for me.
ReplyDeleteThey were boring.
ReplyDelete4:30 a.m.
ReplyDeleteJust do the 4 Horsemen or don't bother was my feeling on it.
ReplyDeleteNo, I feel you. Part of it was that they didn't really have any opposition...it was just HHH and his buddies running roughshod over everyone.
ReplyDeleteI liked them. They achieved their purpose and Raw was good in 04-05.
ReplyDeleteAnd it wasn't much of a progressive thing either. Paul E brought in his whole stable in pretty much one shot.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember them ever doing anything stable-ish. They would be in the ring for the group promo but then went their own ways for the rest of the show
ReplyDeleteWHAT?! There's a 4:30am?!
ReplyDeleteIs there any chance you can get any new partner firms?
ReplyDeleteYou like wrong. There is an app for that.
ReplyDeleteShit man that sucks. I'm rooting for you Biff.
ReplyDelete
