"We took their anger very seriously. We have to fix this with the 29th entrant. Has to be a fan favorite. Better send out the Big Show. Big Show! How they hate him!"
Couple minutes later, out comes Roman Reigns, green as turtle shit. Roman Reigns! Vince tells the ref Roman looks tired already, let him nap in the corner for a while."
I'm sure this footage has been used with any number of subtitles, but this is my first experience of it, and this was the funniest thing I have seen in months.
The 1991 & 1992 Royal Rumble events are total opposites. 1991 is an awesome undercard let down by a mediocre Rumble match. 1992 has a dreadful undercard saved by a great Rumble match.
Typhoon is the only wrestler who gives Hulk Hogan & Billy Graham competition for saying brother most in promos. It sounds like Typhoon wants to say brother after every word and has to stop himself.
And holy shit, it's that exquisite rarity: a comedy video that's funnier the second time. I cried my ass off laughing. Laughed so hard I thought I was gonna have an aneurysm.
This might legit be the funniest wrestling-related thing I have ever seen.
Also, I'm really torn on what happens to Neville from here. He's coming off two tough losses and looks to have nothing left to do, so the logical next step is the big call-up. But holy cow, he's going to get lost in the shuffle so fast on the main roster, it isn't even funny.
Yeah, I feel like of all the guys in NXT, Neville is most likely going to go the Low-Ki/Kaval route with the current state of creative, and that's a fucking shame.
Pretty much. Tbf though the iwc cheering the heels and booing the faces doesn't help. I know "omg we can liek cheer who we want d00d", however when you're cheering someone who's supposed to be getting boos, you're kind of saying "hey, you suck at your job"
This is the best thing I've ever seen. Funnier with each viewing. Just genius. The hand gestures and tone of voice when disposing of jobbers Ambrose and Ziggler. Perfect.
I like to imagine the characters on It's Always Sunny In Philly as being representative of the Philly audiences. But then I think those characters, despite being jerks and idiots, are moderately likeable and sporadically get laid.
WWE neve eeally knew how to book heels well to begin with. They book all the heels as chicken shit losers. They need to bring back some monsters and cool heels with swag. WCW was the heel promotion.
30 years ago, guys had some basic tools available - racism, threatened and implied violence against women, etc - which are off the table now. Basically, the only way for someone to be a heel is to get the name of the town they are in wrong, piss on the local sportsball team, or be arrogant. If you do too much of the latter, you will be considered "good at your job" and the crowd will cheer you. Even Rusev doesn't seem to be cheating to win, so the only reason to dislike the guy is he's Russian, proud, and arrogant?
YEEEEEES!
ReplyDelete"We took their anger very seriously. We have to fix this with the 29th entrant. Has to be a fan favorite. Better send out the Big Show. Big Show! How they hate him!"
That is so brilliant.
ReplyDeleteShort, nasty beard man ninja kick bullshit forever.
ReplyDeleteA winner is this guy.
ReplyDeleteThe greatest video in the history of this business.
ReplyDelete"LOL send out Goldust. Shattered dreams. This is for Batista!"
ReplyDelete"Roman & Rock dump Rusev and Philly shits on all of it"
ReplyDelete"Did he point at the logo?"
"Of course! Why not?"
This is gold
Bayless. There are no words man.
ReplyDeleteThis is the greatest thing I have seen in a long time.
ReplyDeleteEasily the funniest thing I've seen since that guy destroying his house over the 2013 Rumble and this trumps that.
ReplyDeleteThat laugh is infectious.
ReplyDeleteAs good as that was, the Grado Goldberg video is still tops for me. I've watched that thing like 12 times today.
ReplyDeleteDidn't he do the same thing a year later?
ReplyDeleteI think so. Hopefully this video gets a sequel. Can't wait for the fast lane version!
ReplyDeleteMan, I have to watch this again.
ReplyDeleteCouple minutes later, out comes Roman Reigns, green as turtle shit. Roman Reigns! Vince tells the ref Roman looks tired already, let him nap in the corner for a while."
ReplyDeleteThis is magical.
ReplyDeleteI think his laugh after Roman Reigns is my favorite one.
ReplyDeleteMaybe his laugh after he mentions Rock is the best because he leans back into the laugh. He uses his posture to channel that laugh. My god.
ReplyDeleteThat's just fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good that if you told me this is what he is actually saying, I'd believe it.
ReplyDeleteI never could understand Ivan Putski promos :(
ReplyDeleteYou'd think these guys would pull for Rusev.
Amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a million times funnier than those stupid "Hitler reacts to [insert stupid thing here]" videos.
ReplyDeleteThis wins the internet until, what, 2023 or so?
ReplyDeleteI love this so much
ReplyDeleteI still Liked them from Rumble last year lol
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this footage has been used with any number of subtitles, but this is my first experience of it, and this was the funniest thing I have seen in months.
ReplyDeleteAll that could have improved this bit is if he'd said "Howboutit?"
ReplyDelete"hes kinda skimping on the cashews a little bit"
ReplyDeleteThe singlet Bull Dempsey wears is probably my least favorite type of ring attire ever.
ReplyDeleteNo I expect her to keep her mouth open till I'm done.
ReplyDeleteAnd no knee pads? Extra awful.
ReplyDeleteThe 1991 & 1992 Royal Rumble events are total opposites. 1991 is an awesome undercard let down by a mediocre Rumble match. 1992 has a dreadful undercard saved by a great Rumble match.
ReplyDeleteBushwhackers/Beverley Bros went FIFTEEN MINUTES.
Earthquake just walked out and Bull's look reminds me of Earthquake.
ReplyDeleteHe's explaining the Rumble. It has subtitles.
ReplyDeleteSpanish? I thought it was russian. And then I half-expected the guy to bludgeon the other guy.
ReplyDeleteLol I'm stopping after this LOD/Natural Disasters match anyways to watch It's Always Sunny.
ReplyDeleteI got about 30 seconds in, realized nothing he was saying translated to the subtitles and said fuck it and came here instead.
ReplyDeleteThey showed them on Classic SNL when NBC still ran them. It was crazy how these skits would begin and you would know they were duds.
ReplyDeleteSJP has a valid excuse though. Lorne had a kid and Michael O'Donaghue died that week
Ugh.. another boring snooze fest.
ReplyDeleteI think maybe that video was made for people that laughed at "Hitler Gets Mad At"
ReplyDeleteWhich when I watched those videos all I could do was be mad that a brilliant film like Downfall was now a lame meme.
I think I might be too old for internet.
Currently at 51% lent to me...
ReplyDeleteCurrently at :55 morality for me.
ReplyDeleteNever liked them, the creme always seemed like some kind of weird consistency
ReplyDeleteNow Swiss Rolls, I'd goosestep over my burning mother for a Swiss Roll
Well, Marv, it looks like you can go suck a dPLEASE STAND BY
ReplyDeleteSeriously that actor was born for that part.
ReplyDeleteTyphoon is the only wrestler who gives Hulk Hogan & Billy Graham competition for saying brother most in promos. It sounds like Typhoon wants to say brother after every word and has to stop himself.

I remember that it *was* a show, but don't remember anything about it
ReplyDeleteWell....I mean other than they'd always cut away to the actors that were his brain
Link, please. I'm intrigued.
ReplyDelete[RADIO EDIT]
ReplyDeleteThat might be part of the appeal, actually.
ReplyDeleteThey're really good at lending out 80's wrestling shows also, that are then posted on video hosting sites.
ReplyDeleteIn this day and age, is it even possible to be a good heel?
ReplyDeleteSeems the only way for a sports entertainer to get booed now is to suck at his job.
Their stock isn't exactly rising right now, but I'm glad the Vaudevillains are sticking around. That's a really fun act.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm really torn on what happens to Neville from here. He's coming off two tough losses and looks to have nothing left to do, so the logical next step is the big call-up. But holy cow, he's going to get lost in the shuffle so fast on the main roster, it isn't even funny.

ReplyDeleteSomeone submit this to avclub's 'Great Job, Internet'. Pure comedy gold.
ReplyDeleteThat's some funny shit right there. Nice find!
ReplyDelete¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ReplyDeleteYes please link
ReplyDeleteMan, the production values for Kayfabe Commentaries went down the shitter, but I do like the live audience Sean Oliver added.
ReplyDeleteMetsFan4Ever looks way different than I imagined.
ReplyDeleteHoly fucking shit that was funny. I just woke up my sleeping wife from laughing so hard at this video.
ReplyDeletePretty much. Tbf though the iwc cheering the heels and booing the faces doesn't help. I know "omg we can liek cheer who we want d00d", however when you're cheering someone who's supposed to be getting boos, you're kind of saying "hey, you suck at your job"

ReplyDeleteHis laugh warms my heart.
ReplyDeleteAlso, his is the second best laugh in the history of everything.
ReplyDeleteI just watched at work, I peed myself slightly... totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteThis was amazing
ReplyDeleteWWE neve eeally knew how to book heels well to begin with. They book all the heels as chicken shit losers. They need to bring back some monsters and cool heels with swag. WCW was the heel promotion.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious. I had to watch it with the sound off because I'm at work but it was still fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThe sound is the best part.
ReplyDeleteHeard the sound now. Tremendous.
ReplyDeleteWaaaaait a minute. Now, I don't want to blow anyone's mind here, but I don't think that's actually what this guy was saying!
ReplyDelete30 years ago, guys had some basic tools available - racism, threatened and implied violence against women, etc - which are off the table now.
