Really strange show. The X-Division matches were just kind of there. They had Grado win a match, which is rather lame. The two World title matches were good, especially Angle/Aries. The Taryn/Kong stuff was so dumb considering Taryn was in her lingerie about two weeks ago and had no problems showing the crowd, but tonight she kept trying to cover herself up? It made no sense.
I still look forward to Angle/EC3 & the conclusion of the Best of 5 between the Wolves and Dirty Heels. Besides that, there's not much else.
Also, apparently EC3/Angle will happen on the July 1st Impact and not Slammiversary. This company has really turned into one that I enjoyed watching to one I just watch out of habit. Who the hell is going to order the PPV now?
The guy's naturally goofy, awkward and incoherent and that will shine through no matter what he does. They should just go all in with him and Tyler Breeze as a social media-obsessed tag team (someone else's idea I saw here a few days ago)
I get giving EC3 the most exposure for his title win, and I get that TNA was thrown off by the move to Wednesdays, but good grief this isn't promising.
Becky's new look is great, she stands out more now and always had the work down. That moment after Becky lost to Sasha really was amazing, I could watch it over and over.
Well there are two more Impacts before the show and nothing has been announced yet. You can piece it together for the most part, but leave it to TNA to not be able to announce a card until eleven days before the show.
He had a good look at least. I wouldn't have given him an undefeated streak, but he's certainly a guy I would've tried to develop and prime him for a future top spot.
Literally so much they could do. Then when it's time they could end it by having one being jealous of the other for getting more likes on an Instagram photo. Perfect.
Another LOLTNA moment: Angle is a guy who shouldn't be wrestling every week, yet here is is pulling double duty.
ReplyDeleteZack Ryder needs a redo. Time to change it up dude.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone's earned a main event angle, it's EC3. Good to see he's getting his due.
ReplyDeleteWeren't people predicting that Dempsey would get called up at some point? Now they've giving him out-of-shape fat guy character? Ouch.

ReplyDeleteGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRADO! The Stevenston Dream!
ReplyDeleteIt was like giving Baron Corbin a year-long undefeated streak on Raw, wasn't it? Ah, Crimson.

ReplyDeleteThe delivery of Owens' "You can't just get a title shot after one match" line was tremendous.
ReplyDeleteIf there is a Taryn/Brooke storyline will there be some interference from Robbie E in the beginning?

ReplyDeleteOwens is SUCH a dick. I love it.
ReplyDeleteE pluribus gads it's getting hard to defend these guys. What the heck is main eventing Slammiversary then?
ReplyDeleteDana Brooke... oh yes.
ReplyDeleteFour corners match?

ReplyDeletePlus Evil Emma and Evil Alexa. We truly live in a golden age.

ReplyDeleteYet on Raw, we have to watch the Bellas and Summer Rae stink up the ring.
ReplyDeleteI just don't see Dempsey ever making it big. He's a JTTS if ever there was one.
ReplyDeleteHe had a good look at least. I wouldn't have given him an undefeated streak, but he's certainly a guy I would've tried to develop and prime him for a future top spot.
ReplyDeleteEspecially in the context of what he's doing with Cena.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea.

ReplyDeleteEven NXT needs their job guys...
ReplyDeleteBull is like the mid 90s WWE with the gimmick jobbers. He's basically a Goon or a Pug Porteau.
And didn't he basically get his NXT title shot after one match as well?
ReplyDeleteBecy lynch now looks like Chandra Nalaar.
ReplyDeleteWho gives a shit anymore? This company has been sailed up the river.
ReplyDeleteJessie McKay never appeared on NXT before last night's show. I think Scott is mistaking her for KC Cassidy, who faced Sasha a while back.
