Scott,
With the talk about Cena's current position on the card/with the company, where does he go from here? Most of the guys who had runs at the top (Hogan, Bret, HBK, Austin and Rock) were gone within 5-10 years. Hogan obviously having the longest of those runs. It doesn't seem like John is planning on riding off into the sunset anytime soon.
- Anthony

Well, Billy, when a wrestler gets too old to continue any longer, Vince McMahon takes him to a very special farm where he can run around and bump with other wrestlers just like him. And then you can visit him any time! Just not this weekend, Grandpa is coming down from chasing the dragon. Plus I think there's some sort of legal thing about kids and 100 feet of space or something.
Sorry, what was the question again?
His name was Anthony, not Billy, I think.
ReplyDeleteCan you read my mind?
ReplyDeleteDo you know what it is that you do to me?
I don't know who you are.
Just a friend from another star.
Here I am, like a kid out of school.
Holding hands with a god. I'm a fool.
Will you look at me? Quivering.
Like a little girl, shivering.
You can see right through me.
Can you read my mind?
Can you picture the things I'm thinking of?
Wondering why you are... all the wonderful things you are.
You can fly. You belong in the sky.
You and I... could belong to each other.
If you need a friend... I'm the one to fly to.
If you need to be loved... here I am. Read my mind.
- As read by Vince McMahon at John Cena's Hall of Fame induction.
So wait, Cena will eventually give up his CENAWINSLOL powers to be with Vince forever, before deciding against it and kissing Vince who will forget he ever loved/pushed him?
ReplyDelete...........yes.
ReplyDeleteThis brought tears to my eyes. It was that fucking bad. #thingsMacklinmademesay
ReplyDeleteThis is for all the Macklin's who want to be, and the Rani's who caaaaame to see me.
ReplyDeleteNot that this is a huge age difference, but Orton is 3 years younger than Cena and he is actually the one that I wonder more about. Whether Cena turns heel or not is irrelevant, BUT there is options to keep him fresh. What can you do with Orton if he decides to stick around for another 10 years that hasn't been done with him yet?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Cena is going to become some management type within WWE after his career is over. Isn't that the whole idea behind him learning Mandarin, that he wants to become WWE's bridge to China.
ReplyDeleteIT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HIS NAME WAS!
ReplyDeleteVince has been pretty good about taking his top stars back and putting them down, Hogan, Bret, Shawn, Austin, it would seem surprising if he did the same with Cena, but then again, it was probably inconceivable in 1991 that Hogan would be out two years later, or Hart would be gone two years later in 1995.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen anyone else in the comments say it so...turn him heel...I'm actually a little surprised no one has thought of this before.
ReplyDeleteggh
ReplyDeleteThey've thought about it, but the reasoning it was never done was because Cena sells more merch as a face, but with WWE bringing Cena down the card, now would be the best time to turn him heel.
ReplyDeleteI was kidding because...this is the Internets answer for everything but yes. now would be the time and there are a million reasons to do it. him being shuffled down the card..the constant hate from the crowd despite years of putting his body on the line to entertain and so on and so forth.
ReplyDeleteCena and Brock are the only 2 wreslters that they have that can give you that big fight feel for a ppv match that i love so much. IE Cena Owens, Crowd was psyched , internet was psyched and both men brought the goods. It had the Big fight feel that Rollins, Reings, Ambrose etc. have yet to give us.
