Edge/Orton misfire

Aside from it being too long, wouldn't the matvh have benefited from some Mick Foley-style gore? They already alluded to how he helped make both of them. I know they want to avoid blood, but with pre-tapes, editing& fake blood, some barbed wire, thumbtacks or flaming tables would've helped a lot. Or throw somebody through ...
