Daniel Bryan Suffered a Concussion From His RAW Match Last Night

Here is what was posted on F4WOnline.com:

"Details are still forthcoming, but WWE has confirmed that Bryan Danielson suffered a concussion last night on Raw.

Earlier today the word going around at television is that Bryan did not remember a lot of what happened in the cage match and that the concussion seemed to be serious, but all that was confirmed is the diagnosis of the concussion."

    no discussion of spoilers

  7. No, but I will read them.

  8. I didn't see an issue with them.

  9. Blame the Roman Reigns push

  10. No discussion from me forthcoming

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hopefully they can keep him on TV for the next couple of shows in non-wrestling appearances.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hopefully appearing in the Rumble announcement?

maybe they'll find a way to blame ryback

  14. Just have come out with the knees. Ala Stone Cold.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, he and Bray were in the same faction....

  16. You are in no condition to compete.

along the nexus line, the concussion would actually be perfect for bad news barrett to announce

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's the wwes medical staff way of burying him

    ReplyDelete
  19. That would be kinda great actually.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bryan has really suffered from WWE Stockholm Syndrome. That is the real story

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm afraid I've got some bad news...

    ReplyDelete
  22. Shit, they can even write it into the Storyline and copy how the Vince McMahon/Austin disagreement initially began. The Authority comes up with a bunch of overly complicated red tape to keep him from competing at the Royal Rumble, make him sign waivers, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This sucks. She seemed like she'd lived a hell of a life tho.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Seriously, this does suck tho. The rumble is less then 2 weeks off. Depending on the severity of it he might have to take on a reduced role.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Foley and sock puppets?

Eh, I vote the return of Cactus Jack: Lost in Cleveland.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The timing certainly sucks. I just hope that he is okay because memory loss is no joke.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yea. I'm assuming if he didn't remember the majority of the march it's somewhat severe relative to other "milder" concussions. Just sucks in general

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just hope Bryan doesn't have too severe a concussion and is going to have a quick recovery with no lasting damage.

Does anyone know where I can send a card and flowers to the hand?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Totally agree. Wyatt's was a perfectly orchestrated work and so is this. Give it...take it away...win the Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sock puppets = Cure of WWE Stockholm Syndrome.
Its in page 7 of the manual. By the way, no one could get lost anymore because they obviuosly communicate via the WWE app, Twitter, and Tout.

    ReplyDelete
  32. He'll be accepting handouts to help with the funeral.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow, that's depressing news. It seemed Bryan may had been a favourite for the Rumble and now he's got a concussion, WWE are unlikely to push him in the main event again for a long time yet as WWE doesn't look to fondly with talented wrestlers that get injured (like Dolph).

    ReplyDelete
  34. I didn't see anything particularly note-worthy there. If you meant the opener, it was non-title.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No. More so the ending and who was involved. A major argument would come of it. I HAVE SAID TOO MUCH

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anyone figure out the spot where it happened?

    ReplyDelete
  37. That seems rash. They don't like Dolph because he doesn't gave common sense to know not to criticize his employer in public. I don't think it'll effect there long term plans for him at all,, whatever tjose plans are.

    ReplyDelete
  38. That taping sounded painfully dull

    ReplyDelete
  39. When he went to the top of the cage after the match and beatdown. The crowd was chanting YES YES YES so loudly it gave Bryan a concussion.

    ReplyDelete
  40. This would be the perfect time to pull out the "everybody gets eliminated and number 30 walks out and wins without doing anything" finish.

    ReplyDelete
  41. That would be a horrible way for Bryan to win, that's the way a heel wins. I would rather Bryan win his spot in the main event at the EC PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Back in mid 2007 I ordered an ROH PPV with Bryan and Nigel McGuinness as the main event. At the end of the match they started hardway headbutting each other so hard Bryan's head immediately spilt open without blading. Quite frankly I'm amazed he got past WWE's initial concussion testing. Hope he ends up alright.
Even worse that was right around the Benoit tragedy.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anything works if Daniel Bryan does it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Your first sentence was fine. Everything else you wrote was ridiculous. Wrestlers don't get punished for having a concussion.

    ReplyDelete
  45. It's a misdirection many have been speculating about. They apparently latched onto the idea and are now running with it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Didn't seem to be too bad. Although in the fantasy draft I'm in, every single one of my guys lost, which is what I was hoping for, so now I'm first in line to draft Batista!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Eh, I feel kidney failure was too easy. Mae should gone out like a Game of Thrones character.

    ReplyDelete
  48. This sounds suspiciously like a potential burial...

    ReplyDelete
  49. He got arrested recently... but the charges were dropped... he was brought in for ARMED robbery!

    ReplyDelete
  50. The Cookie Dream Team!

    ReplyDelete
  51. That whizzing sound is the hopes and dreams of Rumble glory for Bryan zipping around like a fart in the wind.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Panthers, noooo...

    ReplyDelete
  53. Every year, with that finish.

I suppose they'll resurrect the Nation of Domination too, while they're at it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Killed in front of everyone who loves her?

    ReplyDelete
  55. I hear he passed all of the concussion tests, but HHH won't let him back in the main event because he only got a B+.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Probably from the booking whiplash.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The manual has been re-written three times since Raw, I hear.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Groaaaaaaan.

    Well done.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Okay, its an app.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Curt Hawkins joined the Wyatt's?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I hope there is an instructional video on how to download/install it

    ReplyDelete
  62. A symptom of WWE Induced Stockholm Syndrome is needing several instructions on how to download the app on a daily basis.

  63. ARRRRGH THE BARBARIANJanuary 14, 2014 at 10:58 PM

I don't buy it, he hit pretty much every note in the post match angle

    ReplyDelete
  64. Until they actually do it, YES, YES, YES!

    ReplyDelete
  65. "Chop my fucking head off you pussy!"

    ReplyDelete
  66. If this is legit, what this really shows is just how many undiagnosed concussions wrestlers got before as part of the job, and IMO goes a long way in explaining some bizarre behaviors over the years.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I'm not going to say for sure if it's a work or not (I think it's legit) but I have seen multiple matches where the wrestler will seem fine but after the match show signs of a concussion or so pretty much exactly what Bryan said in he doesn't remember anything from the match.

When I had a concussion, I functioned pretty well right after the accident and into that day. It wasn't until later that I realized something was wrong as my short term memory was shot.

    ReplyDelete
  68. :( hope its not serious and he gets better soon.

I guess thats the excuse the WWE needs to depush and phase him out now:(

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm so glad we are now in an era where concussions are detected this quickly. Bryan himself stated he's had a ton of undiagnosed concussions in the indies.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Why would it be a work? I thought it was weird that Bryan didn't even break a sweat in the match. If you look at him during the showdown with Bray, it doesn't look he just wrestled a cage match.
