Clash

All the Clashes have been added to the vault section on the Network. Hopefully we get some new rants for it

That's some quality passive-aggressive behavior right there.

I demand at least two rants a day.

  2. THEY ARE ALL THERE! WOW! Awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Scott are you going to review Extreme Rules?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Right? That was kind of like a wife/girlfriend saying "You know what you did wrong"

    ReplyDelete
  5. A great reminder that they've only posted like 5 percent of their catalog thus far.

    ReplyDelete
  6. OH YEAH!!!!!!!!! *EXPLODES WITH CONFETTI*

    ReplyDelete
  7. Here's some full on aggression...DO SOME FUCKING RANTS.
Seriously though, you're missing like 5 of these in the Rants Archive :)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Could their infrastructure even handle half of their archived content? I can see the need for them to eventually drop some stuff, maybe to re-air it later on the live stream.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Oh hell yeah! Great fucking news! Wow I love the network

    ReplyDelete
  10. Seems like I have more important things to review now.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Now Flair's entire amazing 1989 run is available to watch. Without hyperbole I consider that the single greatest run for a US wrestler ever. Multiple 5 star technical classics AND incredible stiff and brutal brawls.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ouch, didn't like it too much? I thought it was fine though nothing spectacular. 6 man was excellent of course, and he main was fine if a bit goofy but the forklift spot being a quasi tribute to Bryan's dad was really cool.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I was watching last night and remembered how much you hated Yoko-UT.
Bray-Cena didn't stray too far away from that!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Just wait until the shield DVD comes out for the six man. The rest of the show was garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  15. At a certain point, maybe they drop some PPVS that were viewed the least? I could see them phasing out the 93-94 RAWS once they get into 96-97. Same with Hardcore TV. I could really care less about them having RAWS from 2012-2013.

  16. Hey Parallax, random question....
You know who the Nostalgia Critic is right? If you do, you should know his name is Doug Walker. Your name is Chris Walker. Any chance you guys are related?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I really doubt it; it is a pretty common name, and I don't know much of my extended family.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ah, so like WM.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Vince Russo tried doing this a bit in WCW, and it was fucking horrible, and did severe damage to the business (well, severe might be an exaggeration - it was WCW, and fuck all people were watching by that point).

Look, 99% of wrestling fans know that wrestling isn't 'real' in the sense that boxing is real. They still watch anyway, because they suspend their disbelief and emotionally invest themselves in the storylines and the characters, whether it's in the ring or 'backstage'. Why would you want to damage that willingness to believe by battering them repeatedly over the head with a baton which has 'THIS IS ALL FAKE AND SCRIPTED'? scribbled on the side in magic marker?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, much like the thought of the Angry Wrestling fan being Caliber, the speculation is done with. Thanks for the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Chris Walker? That's the same name as the bastard who slept with my wife!

    ReplyDelete
  22. This is great news for me as a wrestling fan and bad news for my social life.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Man that's hilarious. The story would have been better if they were selling fake Cenation shirts though.

    ReplyDelete
  24. When a wrestler going for a pin props his feet up on the ropes, supposedly for more leverage. That would make it easier for the guy being pinned to kick out, not harder. Thankfully, you don't see that much anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It does kinda make me wonder what the hell the Hebners were thinking. I'm sure they weren't making a ton, but they would have likely had jobs for life with WWE, in some sort of front office capacity.

    ReplyDelete
  26. How much money could they have possibly made bootlegging merchandise? It's why I might rob a bank, but would never rob a convenience store. Not worth the risk.

    ReplyDelete
  27. YOU ARE FULL OF CRAP MNAY PUNCHES DO LAND WATCH SOME OF FLAIR OR VADERS MATCHES ALSO RANDY SAVAGE V..S DDP THEY KNOCKED THE SHIT OUT OF ONE ANOTHER LEGIT!

    ReplyDelete
  28. ITS NOT ALL FAKE THATS A FALLACY YOU ARE MISINFORMED!

    ReplyDelete
  29. WATCH JBL OR SIMMONS PUNCHES AND THEN SAY ITS ALL FAKE

    ReplyDelete
  30. That's what so absurd about this. Let's say they were pocketing 1,000 bucks a show, was that worth losing their job?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah, I have to think not worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's sad Tommy Young isn't in the HOF yet. I think the Hebners should go in at some point, but Tommy Young should go into the HOF first.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Agreed, but I always thought that move would have been more impressive if (somehow) Big Show could do it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Was at the show too. I agree with everything you said. The cage match was beyond awful though. I'd also pick nits and say the Shield match started a bit slow.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Brian Pillman's pressers alone would have got the 1 million subscribers.

All the talk about bootleg merchandise reminds me that an Earl Hebner T-shirt exists. TNA was trying to get people to buy one at the house show I went to a couple years back.

    ReplyDelete
  37. There's a huge difference between Playboy and hardcore anal porn like Chyna did.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Great action compounded by a horrible script. Peter's parents are a pointless storyline that just took up time. Having a B-villian be the main villain was a waste, and hey, let's throw another villain at you at the very last second!

    ReplyDelete
  39. That one bothered me too. Nash (as Oz) did one even worse when El Gigante missed a clothesline trying to knock him out in a battle royal. (I think it was at a Clash of the Champions.) Gigante whiffed, and Nash jumped out of the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  40. How does constant failure warrant a HOF induction??

    ReplyDelete
  41. The Immortal Hoke OganMay 6, 2014 at 9:15 AM

    Stephanie :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Don't be hatin'

Besides, demon children costing faces matches would have been a step up from ANYTHING that happened during the Russo era.
