  1. Catching up on Dragon Gate Japan, I'm about 6 months behind.

  2. I hate the triple crown in horse racing. It's the same thing every time. "X has a great chance to be the first horse to win the triple crown since 1978." Everyone gets excited and 2.5 minutes later, everyone says "screw this sport. When is the next nba finals game?"

  3. No triple crown

  4. I'm afraid I've got some bad news.....not till tomorrow.

  5. Kings will sweep the Rangers

  6. That's another thing I don't understand: game 1 was Thursday night and they are not traveling to another city, so why don't they play tonight?

  7. It's always been the TV schedule for the NBA Finals: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday

  8. Thanks Bayless, never knew that.

  9. I just signed up for MLB TV ($50 for the rest of the season!) and it's freezing a lot. I'm using my PS3, wireless...same way I watched NHL Center Ice and I had no issues at all with that, but this is freezing every minute. Anyone else have this problem? Would the universal solution of turning it off and turning it back on work?

  10. Punk's team is gone right?

  11. The Cubs? It's June, so probably.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yeah, the Kings eliminated Chicago last round.

Some promotion that always advertises in the Botchamania vids. And if those clips are any indication there's no fucking way they draw 1,200.

  14. They hired Vince Russo back to be in charge of creative again. If anything we're being excessively nice.

  15. I'd argue that it was at least watchable for a little while after that (Steenerico especially), but yeah, interest pretty much died for me once I knew he was gone.

  16. EVERYTHING IS FINE.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yes sir. Other notable angles developed through their TV tapings were feuds between Sgt. Slaughter and Tommy Rich, and Chris Adams and Ambassador Scott (or Steve) Casey over who was more British. I am not shitting you.

  18. I love me some DGUSA/Evolve, but they have a pretty small fanbase. I'd be surprised if they're drawing over 500 yet.

Bet their last show drew a bigger crowd than this last TNA show did.

  20. I used to do merch for bands on tour so I've been to Westbury Music Fair numerous times. It's a great joint to see a concert, but I never understood why TNA did shows there. It's not geared for wrestling (the speaker issue as you noted, and just the overall feel for the venue). It's incredibly odd to me because no other wrestling company uses the venue and there are at least a half-dozen other venues within 20 miles that would be far more suitable for a wrestling show.

  21. Isn't that what AJ Styles did in a sense? They figured they could keep him for cheap since WWE isn't interested in him, and Styles just said, fuck off, I can make more money with less headaches on the indie circuit.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was at their last show; it did draw more. I'm just saying even though they're my favorite, they're still pretty small. They're definitely not Chikara or CZW big, but all three are drawing better than TNA at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  23. At this point, the only thing that separates TNA from other big indies like ROH or Chikara is a national TV deal.

In fact, Spike might be better off offering the timeslot to another promotion that has more of its shit together. Which one that is I'm not sure, but there's got to be a big indie that isn't as poorly run as TNA.

  24. 2 - If a company treats its employees like crap, it certainly is a turn off. It's hard for me to support a company that treats its workers so poorly, even by pro wrestling's low standards.
3 - What was he lying about? How do you know he has been lying? His neck was broken during a botched maneuver, was it not? And was he not told he would always have a job with TNA?

I'm sorry, but I just see how TNA treating it's employees like crap is really something you can really knock the company for. For one, see my comment above. Ever buy anything from WalMart? And for two, this is wrestling. Does Vince treat his guys any better? Not that I can tell.

I mean, if it's that big an issue to you than maybe wrestling shouldn't be your thing.

  26. It is. Cal Ripken stadium.

  27. That's more of a house show commitment than their champion b

Most overrated player in baseball history. Yeah, I just said that.

    ReplyDelete
  29. For 31 I can buy the promotion, but I would by contract have to let Dixie run the company.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Don't talk about Cal like dat hon!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Tomorrow they go to Salisbury Stadium for the same show.

  32. Don't be a fucking pussy, if you work for TNA say so.

    ReplyDelete
  33. He can't work for TNA. He's actually literate.

    ReplyDelete
  34. He deleted his account

  35. Welcome to the BoD!

  36. Cant agree, there are plenty of others. Cal did things at SS that was unheard of at the time....

I'm not sure any of us want to see an unemployed Jeff Hardy left to his own devices. I don't see that going well for anyone.

I'm not saying the Shield breakup needed to happen right NOW, but I do kind of question what was next for them as a group. They already feuded with the Wyatts, then beat Evolution decisively. Not sure who else remained for them to fight as a group. I definitely would have turned Ambrose instead though. He would be a great sell-out heel. Let HIM beat a babyface Rollins, then build toward Reigns finally getting his hands on Dean. Ambrose's facial expressions and great heel tactics remind me of an old NWA heel

Reigns over Orton, Rollins over Ambrose would make sense. Then Reigns over Rollins at Battleground, presumably to set up Reigns-HHH for SummerSlam?

  41. I always want a huge cardboard cutout, or a fathead today, of Kevin bacon's character in Animal House from the parade scene saying "remain calm. All is well!!"
