Alright guys, after learning about some tragic news today at the BoD, you can use this thread to talk about Smackdown, Sports, and anything else that is going on. And I do not say this much, but be respectful in this thread, specifically about the news that we have heard regarding poster Officer Farva. He deserves that much at the very least.
RIP Mark Haas, you will be missed here at the BoD.
If anyone wishes, they can leave a message on his legacy page by clicking on the link below

R.I.P. Farva.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Farva is smiling the Heat are getting spanked.
ReplyDeleteYeah RIP Farva, he was one of the many good guys here. You got an internet friend in me
ReplyDeleteTJ: Rangers come back from 3-0? Is Quick over whatever had people concerned about his performance or did they go to the backup. Not that Hockey is out of Tier II or anything.
I'm not even gonna watch Smackdown tonight because..
ReplyDelete1. I can't get the channel at the hotel I'm at.
2. This is just so sad.
Mark Haas' (Officer Farva) sister wants me to thank Brian for making this thread. She will probably post something in a few, so please be respectful..
ReplyDeleteWow! Is there an obit online or something?
ReplyDeleteYeah, fairly deep down in the BoD Daily Update thread but yeah
ReplyDeleteok, thanks
ReplyDeleteBrutal news. RIP Mark - I always enjoyed your posts, and you seemed like a good dude. My thoughts are with your friends and family.
ReplyDeleteSuper Troopers is actually on TV right now here in the UK.
ReplyDeleteRIP
Whoa, what? I have a hell of a time reading Disqus at work.
ReplyDeleteBlog is Farva?
ReplyDeleteJust terrible news, always liked his contributions here....
ReplyDeleteSorry for your guys' loss and condolences to his family and friends. I always enjoyed his posts. Hope he finds some peace.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace Mark.
ReplyDeleteI'm legit stunned. His posts will for sure be missed.
ReplyDeleteRest in Peace Farva. Sorry to his family and friends and anybody out there who is hurt by his passing(including everyone here at the blog)
ReplyDeleteIf the BoD were a wrestling fed. I'd say Farva and I came up together...we were total opposites but we always got along anyway... I wanted to say something grand to finish this but I just can't think of it right now.
ReplyDeleteRIP
Maybe his ghost gave LeBron the shits?
ReplyDeleteWhen you first start posting here you're just posting your opinion on whatever and interacting with handles with avatars. But after a while you start to get to know the regulars, have some you like more than others, some with agree with more than others...but at the end of the day, it is some sort of a community, unconventional as it might be. Farva and I tended to agree on most things (except Punk, but I liked him so I didn't debate him on that one), and had a similar sense of humour (mocking Bret Hart). He seemed like the kind of guy I'd like and want to hang out with in "real life". There's really no other way to say it other than it's sad and tragic - way too young, way too sudden. A lot of people here seem genuinely shaken up by this, so I can only imagine how his "real life" family and friends must feel. Thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that we don't always get along makes it more family than community. If it wasn't then people wouldn't have gone through the trouble to find out what happened to him. Thoughts and prayers for real
ReplyDeleteRobert Haas Obituary: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sptimes/obituary.aspx?n=mark-robert-haas&pid=171174209
ReplyDeleteI made a special header for the BoD in honor https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39495/scotts-blog-rip-farva.jpg
ReplyDeleteShould we sign?
ReplyDeleteI want to, but don't know what to say.
ReplyDeleteWow this is fucked. I liked Farva. How did we discover the obit in the first place? I'm reading the other thread..
ReplyDeleteHoly crap...R.I.P. Farva. That fucking sucks
ReplyDeleteSame. I started to say something but I just don't know what.
ReplyDeleteCuriosity arose on where he was and then someone found an obit. We knew his last name because of his email acct.
ReplyDeleteThis actually has me legitimately upset.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I just came here because I liked Scott Keith. Then in the last six months or so I got to know a lot of people better. This place has been great in creating a distraction from bullshit in everyday life.
ReplyDeleteHere you go:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sptimes/obituary.aspx?pid=171174209
Also,
http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Mark-Haas&lc=5088&pid=171291532&mid=6004183
I am absolutely watching that tonight.
ReplyDeleteSame. I have been posting for a few years but mostly in the last year... it has not been a great year for my personal life so this has been the distraction i needed many times.
ReplyDeleteNo shit...
ReplyDeletewalked home from work, took 40 min
ReplyDelete70 degrees, sky straight out of a bob ross painting (fluffy little clouds!), listening to some good tried and true power metal (primal fear!)...
...and all i could think of the entire time was farva
Maybe Bayless can write something on the blog's behalf.
ReplyDeleteWas that a question, or your way of agreeing?
ReplyDeleteMan, I got a ride home from one of my reporters and the skies just opened up and a bolt of lightning looked like it hit the damned street.
ReplyDeleteI'm signing the guest book as myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about what to say, but yeah, kind of weird with the whole never having met him IRL thing.
ReplyDeletei mentioned the weather b/c it's the epitome of a beautiful pleasant damn near spring like early evening. nice walk, great tunes, and i still felt numb
ReplyDeleteIve followed Scott around the net since the late 90s and Ive always enjoyed his writing but I have to admit I started coming to the blog more and more for the community rather than his writing....
ReplyDeleteI know plenty have bailed on this place saying it changed, but I enjoy the people here and the writing more today than I ever did in the past. Im a Bayless mark on top of that...
I know it's silly and all, considering the legitimacy of the situation, but the BoD Top 5er Lounge needs a permanent photo of Farva on the wall. Right above the bar.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think signing as WCW1987 might be a bit strange...
ReplyDeleteAgreeing. Despite, or probably because of you being a straight edge guy, I always talk to you about a lot of personal shit, because you're more clear-headed than I am.
ReplyDeletea few people had been wondering the last few weeks, even speculating the worst.
ReplyDeletethen on a lark since i was thinking about his disappearance (maybe b/c i posted the news about wwe trying to extend punk's contract without his permission...?), i made a post asking if anyone knew his real name. a few people had an idea based on e-mails, abeyance did some research, and the pieces fell into place until magoonie was able to confirm by somehow contacting farva's sister
I live about a mile off of US 19 about 40 minutes away from Largo and it is easily the worst highway Ive ever encountered. Much worse than any place in NY where I grew up...
ReplyDeleteThe Blog community kind of reinvents itself every couple of years. I was lurking here for 5-6 years before I started being more active. I'm a lot more fond of what this place has turned into in the last year or so.
ReplyDeletei suggested he be honorary #1
ReplyDeleteI just signed it with my first name and from Ohio. It'll be cool with all of us posting in there from different states. I think it'll be touching for his family to know how much he was liked nationwide..
ReplyDeleteYeah, I totally did too.
ReplyDeleteI actually enjoy the WWE product more because of this blog. Raw and PPV's are actually very entertaining because of the folks here..
ReplyDeleteLulz, so that's the last gasp for 3MB.
ReplyDeleteOn the real, I just got in from the gym. My head was fucked up ever since this broke. When I stress I either hit the gym or pull out the sketchpad. None of that is working right now.
ReplyDeleteGOD bless your life, Farva. It was a pleasure getting to know you.
Damn, well this is bad news. Rest In Peace Farva.
ReplyDeleteIm going to give ya a follow on FB...
ReplyDeleteHey, at least they were on TV most weeks right up until the end. They'll probably end up in TNA if it doesn't go out of business soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, absolutely. The first time I seriously remember following along with the blog was Royal Rumble 2009. I'm sure I was lurking before that, too, but for some reason that's my first real connection with the Blog. Made me laugh out loud a bunch of times and I kept reading ever since.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap that spear to Heath
ReplyDeleteVery sad news to come home from work to. Mark e-mailed me all the time (like, ALL the time) and like everyone else I was kind of worried when I hadn't heard from him in a few weeks (the last time we talked was May 18, which ended up being a thread about the stock plunge). He always had interesting and fun questions to contribute to the blog and I'll miss hearing from him. RIP.
ReplyDeleteI def. would have checked out of WWE again by now if it wasn't for the BoD
ReplyDeleteAnd RIP Farva
ReplyDeleteI pretty much have for the past year and a half. I still keep hanging around here though.
ReplyDeleteOh, my wife will give me strange look when I just start busting out laughing while reading this stuff during Raw or a PPV...
ReplyDeleteThank you. I benefit a lot from our interactions as well and despite our differences see a lot in common.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I gave up on Raw a month or two ago but still follow by coming here.
ReplyDeleteout of curiosity, did his real name ring a bell, then?
ReplyDeleteYeah, whenever I'm on a posting binge, my gf looks over and asks if I'm on the Blog. She's always asking me what was so funny. I can never explain it.
ReplyDeleteWell I mean, I knew his real name all along. No one ever asked me.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to go see my GF... i don't know how I am going to explain why I am upset that a guy I don't know is gone
ReplyDeleteah. see, not sure who all used e-mail addies with real names, tell you who they are in the e-mails, etc, which is why i asked
ReplyDeleteI think I'll have a liter of cola tonight. Does that look like spit to you?
ReplyDeleteI'm going through this with my Wife right now.
ReplyDeleteSame way I did to mine. He was a friend.
ReplyDeleteMonday Night...Blog is Farva. Lets do it.
ReplyDeleteHe e-mailed me as Mark Haas for years before he became OfficerFarva on the blog.
ReplyDeletegotcha
ReplyDeletePlaying No Mercy for the first time.
ReplyDeleteThe USos have wrestled the Wyatts so much I know the words to BOTH their theme songs.
ReplyDeleteYes I know that the beginning of the song is in Samoan.
What happened to Farva?
ReplyDeletelong story short, we've been able to confirm he passed away
ReplyDeleteWe found out today that he was killed in an accident about 3 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteAccident. Details in BoD Daily
ReplyDeleteDamn Farva died?
ReplyDeleteRIP Man.
May you continue to bash Punk in Heaven.
"Uso crazy?!?!"
ReplyDeleteWhen did Adamle get back?
Oh,man.I'm really sad.I'm gonna miss him.
ReplyDeletenpp people are shit. you won't believe what they're doing over there
ReplyDeleteWhen ya interact with somebody everyday, they are more than just some faceless person on the internet in my opinion. Person has to be considered a friend, or ya wouldnt waste your time chatting with em....
ReplyDeleteThat was a glorified squash win for the Wyatt's. Wonder if the Usos will get that win back? 50/50 Babee!
ReplyDeleteWhy not? The site will be up for a couple more weeks, but it would be nice if the family could see what we have to say and print it out. We all spend hours on this site, we probably have more conversations with our fellow blog members than we do with real life people..
ReplyDeleteI have no clue but they dont seem worth the time from the stuff I read about em here...
ReplyDeleteAre they being asses about Farva?
ReplyDeleteFoley is legitimately a bad person.
ReplyDelete"asses" doesn't even describe it
ReplyDeletewho are npp?
ReplyDeleteFoley strikes me as one of those guys whose entire life revolves around trolling a message board.
ReplyDeleteWhat's Npp?
ReplyDeleteJBL just said "jiggy" in 2014..
ReplyDelete"jiggy"
I refuse to even look. Fuck them.
ReplyDeletevince just discovered the term and is gonna make sure everyone else also knows about it
ReplyDeleteI've signed is Farva's obituary.
ReplyDeleteWhen is Vince McMahon gonna catch up with the 80's and use "Bo Knows"
ReplyDeleteSo they give Bo the winning streak gimmick? And then Goldberg comes back at 'Mania and squashes him? Sounds good.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone besides me watching Slammiversary on Sunday?
ReplyDelete*raises hand*
ReplyDeleteGame Of Thrones or TNA?
ReplyDeleteLOL!
A question from Farva:" Would u suck off HHH in order to get 1 night with any wwe diva?"
ReplyDeletehe has to learn about bo diddley 1st
ReplyDeleteIs Bo part Asian?
ReplyDeleteGOT for the win.Tyrion as the top face is much more fun than Ned.
ReplyDeleteIs Rotundonian.
ReplyDeleteJiggy is trending!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't even think most of the people who work for TNA are gonna watch Slammiversary.
ReplyDeleteHis dad was a former varsity wrestler, boat Captain, and tax auditor.
ReplyDeleteI remember that.
ReplyDeleteAlright,I'm feeling bad about Farva.I'm gonna miss him.
ReplyDeleteIs Liam Neeson the Bruce WIllis of the New Generation?
ReplyDeleteBoth
ReplyDeleteAnd, when you think about it, an early adopter of sabremetrics.
ReplyDeletei was watching the 80's movie "satisfaction" the other night (with mallory from family ties), and he's a main character
ReplyDeleteI don't have much to do this weekend, I'm thinking of taking on the task of reading through Farvas comments, then picking like a Top 100 and posting it.
ReplyDeletethe movie starred justine bateman, as opposed to i was hanging with mallory watching the movie
ReplyDeleteYes.If you mean "bad ass dude that does not look like one".
ReplyDeleteClash Of The Champions Number 5 on the top 10 Network watched shows last week! Sadly no mention of which Clash that was.
ReplyDeleteEither way, that's a fun night.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to run with you hanging out with Mallory.
ReplyDeleteI think there might be some Indian in there.
ReplyDeleteCesaro reverting back to his unover multiple languages gimmick from 2 years ago.
ReplyDeleteDammit. RIP Officer Farva. Loved your posts. Was not expecting to come home from work and hear this. Just terrible.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to work on the "C-List" belt. That and talking to you fine people is helping me cope.
ReplyDeleteSorry, "Native American"
ReplyDeleteI still don't get why they don't aknowledge ITS as Wyatt's father, and that is dad's capitalist ways drove him to form a cult. The beating the Wyatt's would give to IRS and Million Dollar man would draw mega heat IMO.
ReplyDeleteThe more I look back on season one, the dumber I think Ned was. They told him not to trust anyone how many times? And he went and did it anyway.
ReplyDeletetill nick busts in and is all like "heyyyyyyy"
ReplyDeletei'm more of a jen guy, myself. she's the smart rocker*
as opposed to marty being the smart rocker... or hbk... damn, it's a toss up for the least of two idiots
They? Who is they? If you mean one guy that came over there from here, that is hardly they.
ReplyDeleteI wrote something on behalf of the BoD for the legacy.com obit but it says that they need 24 hours to review the post
ReplyDeleteI will.
ReplyDeleteI like Ned,but he was stupid not telling Robert that Joffrey wasn't his son.
ReplyDeleteIt's just sad.Never met him in person, but he seemed to be a nice guy.
ReplyDeleteSorry, what happened to Farva, for those of us that don't know? Link?
ReplyDeleteI almost want to ask what is this npp everyone speaks of, but I'm kind of ok with being in the dark.
ReplyDeleteA couple of ours are showing up now. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sptimes/obituary.aspx?n=mark-robert-haas&pid=171174209
ReplyDeleteI just did
ReplyDeleteMy friend said that his problem was that he was just too good of a guy in a show about cruel people.
ReplyDeleteCesaro is so tough the crowd doesn't dare say, "What?" when he talks.
ReplyDeleteWow that Foley dude is like a 12 on the Chan Scale of Assholery.
ReplyDeleteI take it Mike and Matthew are from here?
ReplyDeleteIn fear of him coming into the audience and swinging them out of the arena.
ReplyDeleteIt's just mean, man.
ReplyDeleteI could watch any combination of Sheamus, Barrett, and Cesaro all day.
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean by "you people"?
ReplyDelete/thinkigotitrightthistime
He was killed in an accident three weeks ago. He was hit by a car
ReplyDeleteMine is under Alexander. But, yeah I think those that are appearing from outside Florida are BoD'ers.
ReplyDeleteNed's problem,also Stark's in general,are honor.They care about it,that makes them lose.
ReplyDeletewhy is chuck norris not in any of the "expendables" movies?
ReplyDeleteYeah Matthew was from me.
ReplyDeleteI just did mine.
ReplyDelete...all at once.
ReplyDeleteHe is.
ReplyDeleteMike is Me.
ReplyDeleteI think Arya is getting the right idea the more she hangs around the Hound.
ReplyDeletei've only seen the 1st one. saw an ad for the 3rd one and it struck me that he was natural fit
ReplyDeleteCesaro should start coming to the ring waving the American flag saying that he loves America and all of its opportunities but people are too lazy and not capitalizing on them.
ReplyDeleteoh....
He's in the 2nd one
ReplyDeleteArya just like her Direwolf are lost.
ReplyDeleteFarva...
ReplyDeleteYou had a contract with life, and without knowing the terms of what you signed, all I can say is that you walked out on it like a petulant child!!
Just kidding buddy. I will miss you a lot. =(
lies!
ReplyDeleteyou're clearly mikeymik2323, a far cry from just "mike"
Shoot comments that are not supposed to be shoot comments.
ReplyDeleteWhat Foley dude? What happened? Modded comment?
ReplyDeleteSomething on the NPP forum.
ReplyDeleteNed Stark. The Sting of Westeros.
ReplyDeleteYou know what Dougie, when I first heard that people were saying stuff over at NPP, I thought it was going to be you. It's not "one" guy like you are saying, it's a few people but you aren't one of them. So, thanks and I'm sorry for thinking the worst of you.
ReplyDeleteTyrion Lannister.SCSA of westeros.
ReplyDeleteNPP= No Pants Provided, its a website that has a message board. They have a thread over there dedicated to making fun of the posts and posters at the BOD. Currently a few of them are making fun of Farva.
ReplyDeleteYou're right! I'll put that on my business cards.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're lumping them all together as one program (I know, I'd be shocked if they lied about numbers too). You know, as a way to show non-network subscribers they are available.
ReplyDeleteThey've been posting up around 15 minutes or so after.. Mine is under "Xanda"(from New York)
ReplyDeleteStay classy, NPP.
ReplyDeleteThe Best of Farva Quotes #1:
ReplyDelete"BigNasty96 is pretty fucking stupid. Just ignore him"
Farva Quote.
ReplyDelete"She's slutty and trashy(angelina love)."
just a thought... there was talk that his sister might drop by here, so...
ReplyDeleteOberyn Martell. The Rock of Westeros.
ReplyDeleteThat's true. Maybe chill it on the quotes lol.
ReplyDeletenot directed at anyone in particular, btw
ReplyDeleteBest of Farva Quotes: "seems like made and Ja Rule are The Miz and Santino of the rap game."
ReplyDeleteThis is why we can't have nice things, people!
ReplyDeleteDammit. You're right. My bad. Quote deleted.
ReplyDeleteI love how it looks like they're beating the shit out of each other. Reminds me of Vader in WCW.
ReplyDeletequotes like that are good, i'd say
ReplyDeleteI had to google "Slammiversary" just to find out what you guys were talking about.
ReplyDeleteI think that is a hilarious quote by the way
ReplyDeleteNot a few. One. One guy that came over from here. One.
ReplyDeleteJaime Lannister.HHH of Westeros.
ReplyDeleteBest of Farva:
ReplyDeleteSometimes there's a little Bret Hart in all of us...insisting on giving that 5 star performance no matter what
You don't think, considering the circumstances, that it's one too many?
ReplyDeleteBray: "Just ask John Cena..."
ReplyDelete"But you LOST to John Cena."
Bray: "....."
Farva was obsessed with the Place to Be and at first it really annoyed me that he wouldn't shut up about it. Then I tried it out and thought it was decent. Now I make sure to listen to Scott and Justin's podcast every week there.
ReplyDeleteSo Scott and Justin, you have Farva to thank for me being a listener!
Farva Quotes: "I have a buddy who ate octopus balls in San Francisco and he said he loved them. I called bullshit but maybe he really did like them"
ReplyDeleteFarva's death happened less than a mile from my home. I have both walked and driven through that intersection literally thousands of times. It's basically a freeway overpass, and with as shitty as Florida drivers are... well, as we can see...
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. man. Wish I had known you were local, would have liked to meet you.
