Brock Lesnar's Next Opponent?
After facing Cena, it is expected that the Big Show will be next in line to face Lesnar.

WWE Considered Cutting Ring Announcers?
At one point, there was a fear that Tony Chimel and Lillian Garcia would be cut in order to make room for cheaper announcers but with Christy Hemme going on maternity leave soon, the fear was put to rest as the company does not want TNA to pick up a WWE announcer as a replacement.

Brock Lesnar v. Big Show? Where's Tony Schivone to sarcastically say, "That'll put butts in the seats."
ReplyDeleteIf we get Show vs. Lesnar at Survivor Series (again), I'll be saving money by not going to the ppv.
ReplyDeleteWhat is paternity leave? Is that the same as maternity as she is pregnant or is paternity mean something else.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this time Hogan will be there.
ReplyDeleteI was racking my brain trying to think of somebody better than Show...actually, Hogan isn't bad.
ReplyDeleteOh God, please not Big Show again.
ReplyDeleteI actually meant Hogan being Show's manager or something like he was with Cena this year and Hillbilly Jim in 1985.
ReplyDeleteHow about Sheamus? That would actually be a good match, and we haven't seen it a million times already.
ReplyDeleteBig Show is a beast. A legit shoot monster and "son" of Andre the Giant. The battle of the bulls. I'd pay money to see Vader vs. Bundy in the indies right now.
ReplyDeleteANOTHER feud with Big Show? That's seriously the best they can do? Smh.
ReplyDeleteThat jobber? Why not put a jobber like Seth Rollins or Roman "Luther" Reigns in there. Show is real telnet and a brand name. Shamuss is a jobber with no character. I rather see Jericho vs. Lesnar than Shamus.
ReplyDeleteOMG CAN WE PLEASE FUCKING STOP WITH THE BIG SHOW.
ReplyDeleteCAPS LETS YOU KNOW HOW MAD THIS MAKES ME.
Okay. I have Kevin Nash's number on speed dial.
ReplyDeleteLesnar-Show PPV buys?
ReplyDeleteI'll set the Over-Under at 25K.
Eesh. I don't even know if Show / Lesnar is worth 9.99.
ReplyDeleteActually, I'd take Nash over Show.
ReplyDeleteShit, I'd take Luger over show, at this point. Hell, I'd take Luger over Show ANY DAY. And twice on Superbrawl Saturday.
Couple if surprising tid bits here. Seriously, who gives a fuck about the Big Show in 2014? Seriously? Also WWE fearing TNA is VERY interesting. VERY interesting indeed. We live in interesting times.
ReplyDeleteWorld Wrestling Entertainment
ReplyDeleteKeep Your Damn Dirty Paws Off Our Terrible Announcers
FELLA!!!
ReplyDeleteWhile Luger can kind of walk again. I'd rather see him do the Indy shows and sign autographs. Maybe a HOF spot if the Poffo family and the E would allow it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the other news:
ReplyDeleteRing Announcers: Why should WWE worry? I seriously doubt anyone's going to change the channel to see Lilian or Tony announcing. And TNA's not gonna be around much longer, anyway.
Tag Team: I might watch it. I might not. I'm leaning not.
RoH: Good luck. You're pretty much the biggest "not stupid" company out there right now.
Kevin Nash is bigger than ever. JBL, August 11, 2014.
ReplyDeleteThis news makes me think that not only does WWE expect TNA to be around a lot longer, they are also very concerned about taken crossover. These are the first chinks in the armor here.
ReplyDeleteCan the Beast conquer the Hair???
ReplyDeleteShow is a believable opponent. Gives the vibe he might be able to dethrone Lesnar. Of course this is all moot if Cena wins the belt back.
ReplyDeleteI dont have a problem with Show facing Lesnar as he needs to beat someone for the belt and Show doesnt need a win so no loss there.
ReplyDeleteBetter than Lesnar destroying someone who should be protected
Make it a triple threat match with HHH, why don't ya...
ReplyDeleteKevin Nash should face Brock Lesnar because I'd recognize Nash in an airport.
ReplyDeleteNo Harts over Demolition at Summerslam '90 on that list? For crying out loud...
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people are just sick and tired of Big Show. See: Kane.

ReplyDeleteUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH...this is why I damn near roll my eyes out of my head every time people who truly know better like Austin or Jericho mention still how Vince is a genius, b/c as long as he has a really big guy to turn to, he will ALWAYS make sure that they get used over and over and over and over and over and over and over again simply because HA HA LOOK AT THAT PAL HE'S HUGE!
The temperature is dropping. The leaves are falling. That means one thing....a BIG SHOW PUSH!
ReplyDeleteBig Show is just like Kane. He's an old, heat killing slug that needs to just retire. Jesus. Give it a fucking rest. No one is ever going to pay to see either of them wrestle.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watch the product in four years. So I am happy to see Show still working. Kane too.
ReplyDeleteCorporate Big Show in suit and tie with a brief case and an ulcer from work related stress could be not only relatable and believable, but also highly entertaining.
ReplyDeleteBUT LOOK AT HOW BIG HE IS PAL, HA HA! HE'S A BIG SHOW JUST LIKE US!
ReplyDeleteBut he's SO big live !
ReplyDeleteGive it some time. It'll wear off.
ReplyDeleteHIS HAND IS LIKE A FRYING PAN
ReplyDeleteSick of the Big Show? Sign up for the forums! Big Show has been preemptively banned!

Didn't they already do Show vs. Lesnar? I didn't mind it once when Lesnar needed someone to destroy. But Lesnar matches are at a premium so a potential Big Show rematch does zero for me.
ReplyDeleteNo you don't.
ReplyDeleteWhy not have Lesnar feud with both of the Uso's in handicap matches for a few months? Lord knows those guts need a new direction and it would be a fun fresh matchup. It would elevate the Uso's much like it did the Hardy's years ago.
ReplyDeleteHe's not going to
ReplyDeleteI doubt Nash would job to the shooter. Nash is Nash. Plus even if he agreed, we're talking DUD at best. Brock got a better chance getting *** out of Big Shoe.
ReplyDeleteIf they do a Show vs. Lesnar PPV match again this year, that'll mean Lesnar has wrestled 2 matches vs. Big Show, 3 vs. Triple H, and 3 vs. John Cena since returning to WWE. Talk about building up your young talent!
ReplyDelete"Show is a believable opponent" in WHAT UNIVERSE???
ReplyDeleteHE WEARS SIZE 3T4F&#*TRGU4 SHOES! THEY'RE SO BIG WE CAN'T EXPRESS THE SIZE IN STANDARD ARABIC NUMBERS!
ReplyDeleteHaven't had a heel turn recently. I'm getting uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteI think if they do the brass knuckles to the eyes and have Cena legally blind Brick with his eyeballs hanging out if his head - Cena could win the belt and turn Hayman and Beock into faces seeking revenge at BattleManiA 31 in one fell swoop.
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time Show even won a feud?
ReplyDeleteI wish I was this drunk. Oh well, give me an hour.
ReplyDeleteCena isnt winning.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is whoever Cena feuds with next will interfere and cause him the match, maybe even a beatdown so he can take off time to film movies.
Would you believe me I once said RD Reynolds number on speed dial?
ReplyDeleteJust for shits and giggles, I'd love to see them give Ziggler a shot.
ReplyDeleteThe man would bump for Lesnar like no man has bumped for anyone. In the hilarious oversell department, it would be like Curt Hennig getting shot out of a cannon into Marty Jannetty. I'd fear for Ziggler's life, but I guarantee it'd hit four snowflakes.
I can't say that I hate Brock and Big Show. They had fun matches in the past. That was over 10 years ago but I still have hope.
ReplyDeleteNope. If Hogan wasn't 61 - I beg them to have him squash Brock in a thirty minute blood thirsty match where both guys no sell finishers and Hogan barely wins like it's 1985.
ReplyDeleteThey've had matches recently.
ReplyDeleteSheamus
ReplyDeleteShow
Henry
Jericho
All guys that Lesnar can destroy who do not need to be kept strong.
FELLA!!!
ReplyDeleteNah. They want to fire them, but bring them back to pop the ratings. A contract with TNA kills that.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I watched Show wrestle in 2008
ReplyDeleteWhich means TNA is consciously being thought of as a foil to WWE since they interfere with their plans.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I'm cold Sober. I'm just got a wicked sense of hunir
ReplyDeleteI miss Brent Mussberger.
ReplyDeleteDon't remember anything outside of the Rumble. And that wasn't a match.
ReplyDelete1996 WCW
ReplyDeleteI wish I was this brain dead would really cut down on the stress if actually having to get shit done and being an adult.
ReplyDeleteYou calling me a liar?
ReplyDeleteYeah, but it's more of a inconvenience and I think it is why they resigned Road Hogg.
ReplyDeleteSheamus would be fun. Henry would be fun. Jericho might be fun, although that depends on if he can crack the Fountain of Youth. Show... no thanks. Feed him to someone that NEEDS the "rub", however little it would be.
ReplyDeleteCesaro and Wyatt are my first two choices.
The most minor of inconveniences are of more importance than complete irrelevance. And once acknowledged their is no plugging up that rabbit hole. The future is now.
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought it was time for the semi-annual Big Show face/heel turn.
ReplyDeleteI thought they were leaning toward having Big Show turn on Mark Henry since he didn't need his help against Rusev.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was a huge Hart Foundation mark, they did need help from the Road Warriors, beat the three person Demolition and immediately the focus was on LOD vs. Demolition and not the Hart Foundation.
ReplyDeleteHe's the LARGEST athlete in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI still want to know how Show got his house back from HHH.
ReplyDeleteleave for father's when their children are born.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you've said it many times. Would even believe you had it yes
ReplyDeleteCunt status has a better chance of his forums succeeding Tbf
ReplyDeleteHow many times has Show wrestled on PPV since his match against Brock at the RR? Aside from the Battle Royal at WM, I'm actually struggling to remember any...
ReplyDeleteYou can't say it wasn't a match just because it was terrible. It was a terrible match. That's what happens when Big Show enters a ring. Terrible matches.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of Big Show being Brock's next opponent is so outrageously shit that I don't believe it for one second
ReplyDeleteOnly if his briefcase is filled with crackers.
ReplyDeleteThey wrestled at Royal Rumble this year. Why Big Show again? WHY?
ReplyDelete"Brock Lesnar's Next Opponent?

I would rather see Roman Reigns win the world title at Wrestlemania than see another Brock Lesnar/Big Show match happen ever. This is terrible news that makes me hate the WWE more than I hate those precocious hipster children in the Amazon Fire commercials. Anyone who is creatively involved in the decision to hold this match again deserves to lose a finger, and they're able to reattach it, but then there's an infection and they ultimately have to amputate it again, and they just have to go through the rest of their lives short one finger. I hate the Big Show as a wrestler so much.
This sounds like you're defending the decision to run another Lesnar/Show program, and that would make us enemies. So what's it going to be? Are we enemies?
ReplyDeleteYes...No...Yes...No!
ReplyDeleteIt's so outrageously shit that I believe it's exactly what the WWE will do.
ReplyDeleteIt was just Show getting hit by a chair.
ReplyDeleteI get what they're going - Brock ends the streak, dominates Cena, now have him dominate someone really, really big - it's just that nobody really cares about the Big Show and Brock's dominated him pretty much every time they've met.
ReplyDeleteI came here to see what you guys thought of my idea for a Big Show push.
ReplyDeleteThat's all Show deserves. In fact it's more than Show deserves. I would really like to see Show sell a retirement shot.
ReplyDeleteThat was the first time I was pissed off the bad guys didn't win.
ReplyDeleteI was a nine-year-old who was there in the second-to-last row. So I could give a shit about "needing help" or the "focus" afterwards. That's all smark stuff that ruins the fun.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Big Show put in his contract that says I need to be in a title feud every fall, because there is no way that they just think he's a strong opponent every year.
ReplyDeleteEvery fall since 2011, he has been in some sort of title feud.
11, Mark Henry
12, Sheamus
13, Orton
Now in 14 it's Brock.....
They must know he's not a draw right?
I like the Sheamus/Lesnar suggestion, but I don't hate Big Show/Lesnar. It truly doesn't matter who gets the title shots between now and WM 31, at which point your new lord and savior Roman Reigns shall be consecrated as the new #1 Megastar/Face of the Company/LOLREIGNSWINS/et al. So what's wrong with Show being a oversized sacrificial galoot?
ReplyDeleteI'm much more perplexed about why Tony Chimel and Lilian Garcia still have jobs. I can understand carrying two ring announces, but three? Sheesh. Bring back the Fink!
THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteI mean, does anyone shit on Mick Foley's first World title win because Austin did a run-in? Was the pop any less loud? Did it cost them ratings against Nitro? No? Then STFU.
Wow the big show. Maybe they can get real creative and have him take on Kane and randy Orton next.
ReplyDeleteOff of the roof of WWE HQ? I'm all for that.
ReplyDeleteI have no issue with Show being tossed to Lesnar. As said below, you ideally want someone for Lesnar to beat the hell out of 15 minutes. Using Big Show works just fine for that, I think, since it allows them to save other guys for future matches.
ReplyDeleteAs for the news about ring announcers, I just find it strange that they would care if Lillian Garcia or whomever is working for TNA.
And then Cena gets raped by the Yeti?
ReplyDeleteNow, now... let's not waste money like that. Khali's perfectly acceptable for that role.
ReplyDeleteThey will just use Show as someone who makes Lesnar look impressive when he tosses them around
ReplyDeleteThe Punjabi Playboy!
ReplyDeleteBut we just saw Lesnar do that at the Royal Rumble, and 10 years ago there were plenty of Show/Lesnar matches.
ReplyDeleteWWE might only have Lesnar for six more months. Why not somebody new? Even Mark Henry is a better choice because it's a fresh match up.
Probably from some clause in that IRON-CLAD CONTRACT
ReplyDeleteIt could arguably be worse than Show - after all, it's coming up to one year since Kane turned heel, so it might be about time to turn him face again...
ReplyDeleteWhich they've done already.
ReplyDeleteA corporate face? I just don't see it.
ReplyDeleteTHERE IS NO WAY BROCK CAN F5 THE BIG SHOW MAGGLE
ReplyDeleteNash wouldn't DARE step in the ring with Brock. Brock is a stiff ass-kicker and there's no way Nash is taking any of Lesnar's offense.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone asked this question: What exactly IS a Big Show?
ReplyDeleteI like Lillian. Don't fire her Vince!
ReplyDeleteThey'll just turn him into the friendly hugging demon again.
ReplyDeletewell.. . . .
ReplyDeleteDamn! And you HATE Roman Reigns!
ReplyDeleteWait... he never beat on any hillbillies. So what's your problem with Show?
ReplyDelete1. I hope they aren't serious.....
ReplyDeleteAs multiple people have mentioned below, it IS that time of the year...
ReplyDeleteThere are few people I am sicker of seeing in any capacity than the big show.
ReplyDeleteHaving Brock fight Orton would actually be a match we've never seen.
ReplyDeleteHe's survived falling from roofs before.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they are. Why would you expect interesting and intriguing booking from this company between September and January?
ReplyDeleteHEY cabspaintedyellow, what is your youtube channel again?
ReplyDeleteThat's some Michael Cole level shilling right there Cult.
ReplyDeleteThey just want to recreate the superplex ring break spot.
ReplyDeleteAnd it would be interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt was only possible because I built up enough momentum.
ReplyDeleteHogan didn't push him hard enough.
ReplyDeleteThe most wonderful time of the year.....for Big Show.
ReplyDeleteRemember when they broke the ring and Michael Cole exclaimed that he'd never seen that before, despite being the play-by-play guy who called the other match it happened in?
ReplyDeleteIn the WWE, it's not up to you to decide what you've already seen.
3 years after he did it with Henry? They need to wait for the 7 year rule.
ReplyDeletewell I was 17 and I thought it made the Hart Foundation look weak and they were my favorite team (and Bret my favorite wrestler along with Savage). And 3 man Demolition sucked Even a 7 year old should have known that.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're the only game in town, you MAKE YOUR OWN RULES, DADDY!
ReplyDeleteI think wwe wants to believe TNA will be around because they want to believe there is a real market for Sportz Entertainment.
ReplyDeleteSheamus needs a heel turn in the worst way, but him vs. Lesnar is a.fun idea and would be a fun match. Easy to book, too. Have Sheamus basically fight for the WWE's honor.
ReplyDeleteI hope that we see Brock beat the crap out of Show, only for Kane to come out running to his aid yelling, "SHOOOOW!".
ReplyDeleteJust fire Chimel, never liked him to begin with.
ReplyDeleteOh I know that. I know WWE will continue to push Kane and Big Show into yearly main event runs. I know WWE will continue to periodically trot out Cena vs.Orton main events even though their Bragging Rights 2009 match was promoted as their "one last match" against each other. Hell, I know WWE promoted the Cena/Rock Mania 28 match as "Once In a Lifetime" only to run a rematch the very next year.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mean I have to like it.
HIS BOOT IS BIGGER THAN MY COWBOY HAT, MAGGLE!!
ReplyDeleteI know TNA hires anyone remotely affiliated with WWE, but is WWE really afraid millions of people are going to start watching TNA because they hear Garcia's or Chimel's voice?
ReplyDeleteAs long as Show gets F5'd through the ring and into retirement, I'm game.
ReplyDeleteSo it's a cautionary tale: You don't want Cena to win at NoC? Well, have we got a follow up for you! Only way it's the least bit redeemable is if this marks the end of Show's full time part time schedule and they injury angle him out to once a year or so appearances
ReplyDelete1) Brock ruined Big Show as a contender at the Royal Rumble
ReplyDelete2) Probably a good call on the announcers
3) Harts/Demos should have been on there, and possibly Demos over Andre/Haku.
And Show wouldn't just be turned heel to face Cena? Or Kane-Cena?
ReplyDeleteYou're taking it up the ass no matter who's holding the title belt.
I'm only okay with Lesnar vs. Show if Lesnar absolutely manhandles and demolishes him (without the aid of a chair this time). I know some folks are saying it doesn't matter who he faces until WrestleMania...but that's a huge problem with the product! We should be interested in the main event programs all year long, not just at WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and the Royal Rumble.
ReplyDeleteLesnar vs. Sheamus, Ziggler, or Orton are interesting and fresh match-ups. Plus losses to Lesnar wouldn't hurt any of them (especially since Cena lost so decisively).
Hey, if you're not careful I'll scoop slam you on your spine.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be glorious seeing Brock suplex the tattoos off Orton.
ReplyDeleteI disagree bc I find nothing Orton does interesting. Even when he's booked well (like the reigns beat down on that one raw) I find him so dull. He's just a total heat killer for me anyway.
ReplyDeleteHe reminds me of King Kong Bundy.
ReplyDeleteSkulls scattered across the ring? Yeah, I could enjoy that visual.
ReplyDelete... fair enough.
ReplyDeleteThat's what makes me so furious. Not only does he keep fighting the same guys, but he'd already fought 1/2 of them before leaving (Cena and Show) and HHH really did not need 3 matches. They just want to keep throwing him in with established or already made names (like Punk) while ignoring so many interesting potential match-ups, like how about Swagger or paying of the Heyman affiliation and putting him in with Cesaro.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way that thing about the announcers is true.
ReplyDeleteLillian and Finkel are the only 2 I could pick out of a lineup after all the years I have been watching... and Lillian only stands out because she is a woman. No way there is any truth to this.
ReplyDeleteEh, they've seemingly been going out of their way to prevent "their" talent from doing anything else. JR can't do his shows around WM, Del Rio is locked up in the US for a year or so... I wouldn't put it past them.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly have the same fashion sense.
ReplyDeleteActually, I think loses by Sheamus and Ziggler hurt them more than a loss by Big Show. I would definitely do Orton vs Brock though. Triple H gets sick of Orton asking for a rematch, and books him against Lesnar... Orton can start the face turn.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Big Show's main event run against Orton last year one of the biggest disasters in WWE PPV business in history? It was the lowest-bought Survivor Series in history.
ReplyDeleteSo what about that has made WWE think "Hey, another Big Show main event run couldn't hurt!"
"Gasman! How inna hell they know I got gas!"
ReplyDeleteSheamus and Lesnar beating the holy hell out of each other, and Lesnar's just got that LITTLE bit more to pull it out? That's promising.
ReplyDeleteZiggler getting crushed, on the other hand, would be a waste.
Hillbilly Jim was bad at wrestling
ReplyDeleteYou just saw that at Royal Rumble though.
ReplyDeleteLying is a sin.
ReplyDeleteIf TNA could get Fink that would be a decent coup for them
ReplyDeleteThey gave it back to make up for canceling the hhh program?
ReplyDeleteI'd watch it. Well. I mean...I'll probably watch this too but it's dumb.
ReplyDeleteWho is big that is left? Nash - fat and 50. Bundy? Retired. Vader? Joke in the US now. I mean Big Show could beat half of the roster in a shoot in his prime. Same with Brock.
ReplyDeleteI'm calling BS on the Big Show thing. He's just coming back from injury, and being put in this tag team with Mark Henry.
ReplyDeleteHillbilly Jim was a great wrestler. I loved the gimmick where he wrestled the dog.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that is what I thought.
ReplyDeleteI can actually envision Michael Cole, during commentary, referring to him as "Corporate Face Kane."
ReplyDeleteAre they trying to drive their audience away?
ReplyDeleteLesnar already destroyed big show at the rumble. This is ludicrous. Put him against orton or someone else.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Chimel in charge of ring construction or something? I haven't a clue what Garcia is good for, though. Between their roster of competing Divas and Renee Young, surely there's enough pretty faces out there?
ReplyDeleteHe got his ass handed to.him at the royal rumble. Doesn't make sense
ReplyDeleteIt seemed like they split up Big Show and Henry on Raw, atleast for the time being.
ReplyDeleteNothing has stopped them from completely jettisoning whatever is going on with Big Show to randomly turn him face or heel and/or stick him in the main event before.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're afraid of anything from TNA. Seems more like they just don't want their brand tarnished by a former WWE ring announcer working for them.
ReplyDeleteApparently you have a fever, and the only prescription is saying things which aren't true on the internet.
ReplyDeleteOk, your jib is cut to my liking.
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought, 17 years ago, that The Giant would just be a guy that is used for a monster heel to "throw around".
ReplyDelete
